RULES OF GUITAR COMPETITION VILLA DE ARANDA
XIII INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPETITION
“VILLA DE ARANDA”
Rounds: 28th and 29th July 2014
1. INSCRIPTIONS
The XIII INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL GUITAR COMPETITION «Villa de Aranda» (2014), is open to all guitarists, without limit age.
1.1 All participants who wish to take part in the competition must notify to the organization before 26th of July 2014. Any applications after this date will not take into account.
1.2 Fee taking part in the guitar competition: 120 Euros.

2. ROUNDS
2.1 The XIII INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPETITION «Villa de Aranda» (2014), will have only one eliminatory round, which will take place in public. The order of performance of the participants will be decided in the House of Culture, the 27th of July in public draw, at 13:00 o’clock.
2.2 According to the order of performance that has resulted in the drawing lots, on 28th July will start the Competition in the Auditorium of House of Culture, at 9:00 am.
2.3 In case that number or participants was high, the competition will start the 28th and will be continuing the 29th.
2.4 The programme performance must be between 20-25 minutes playing time. The program chosen by the participants must include at least three different eras or styles.
2.5 The participants must make available to the jury members two copies of all works which they will play.
2.6 The jury will announce the results of the competition in public after debate.
2.7 All prize winners must collect their prizes and will also be expected to take part in the closing ceremony.
3. THE JURY
3.1 Will be formed by guests and professional guitarists who enter in the XVII Edition of the Festival, the jury could also include a member of the Local Council of Aranda de Duero, with voice but without vote.
3.2 The jury, as well as taking into account the performance of each competitor, will also evaluate the technical difficulty and artistic interest of each programme.
3.3 The decisions of the jury will be final and unalterable, and they thereby reserve the right to leave any prize vacant.
4. RECORDING
4.1 The performances of the winners may be broadcast or recorded by any technical means.
4.2 The participants will renounce any rights of this concept.
