Seductive Dances is the title that brings together a selection of works from the Renaissance to contemporary music. Although it makes a clear reference to one of Joaquín Turina’s Gypsy Dances, Op. 55, it seeks to reflect the labyrinth of destiny, the evolution of the beauty of music and dance, from the mythology attributed to Terpsichore, the muse of dance, depicted with a crown of garlands of flowers on her head. These are the essence and the criterion for selecting the dances; a bouquet of flowers, in the form of dances, recreates this allegory, performed as a guitar duo, an allusion reinforced by the iconic Apollonian lyre in Terpsichore’s hands.
