biografíaEduardo Pascual Díez, born in Torrelavega, Cantabria. Graduate at the Royal Conservatoire of Music of Madrid. Pedagogical Attitude Certificate at the Complutense University of Madrid. Guitar Postgraduate in the Conservatoire of Music of Salamanca under the leadership of Jaime Catalá, specializing in the lute´s work by John Dowland (1563-1626). Studied D. Mus. at the Autonomous University of Madrid, dedicated to research onto the life and work of the composer and vihuelist Esteban Daza (Valladolid c.1537-1591_1596). He has honed his technique with David Russell, Demetrio Ballesteros and Jose Luis Rodrigo, among others.

He has awarded in the International Guitar Competition Ataulfo ​​Argenta, in the categories of chamber music and solo guitar, held in Castro Urdiales, Cantabria.

He has been long settled in Valladolid where carrying out teaching at the Conservatoire of Music, since 1992. He has guitar taught at the conservatories of Burgos, Ponferrada (León), Palencia, and Antonio Baciero School of Music, in Aranda de Duero, Burgos, (1996-2007), where he was director of the Conservatoire. He is frequently invited to international festivals and conservatories most prestigious around the world, to give concerts and master classes.

As of 1997, he is the artistic director of the International Festival and Guitar Competition Villa de Aranda, Burgos, and the International Guitar Festival Esteban Daza, in Valladolid, since 2010, along with his manager, Daliborka Obradovic.

Usually he is member jury in several international guitar competitions, among which we can highlight; Guitar Foundation of America (GFA, Montreal, Canada), JoAnn Falleta Guitar Concerto Competition (Buffalo, New York, USA), Grifyce-Trzebiatów (Poland) Rust (Austria), Xmas Guitar Contest (Lecce), Fiuggi Guitar Competition, Giulio Rospigliosi, Reggio Calabria (Italy), City of Lima (Peru), International Guitar Festival and Competition of BRNO (Czech Republic), Morelia International Guitar, Guitar without Frontiers, in Chihuahua … (Mexico), etc.

With a pledge and intense activity within the chamber music, is member of EPIPHONUS duo, close with the Polish violinist Piotr Witkowski and with the flutist Carlos Migueláñez; also belong to NACHSCHLAG duo, with the cellist Carlos Fernéndez Buey; EPIPHONUS Camerata Trio, composed of Piotr Witkowski, violin and Alberto Mateo to the cello, and ARCORDI String Quintet, integrated, in addition to the above musicians, with Marc Charpentier to the viola and Joanna Zagrodzka, violin, all holders of Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León (OSCYL).

Renowned composers as Nikolay Yordanov, Victor Hugo Ñopo, Roberto Fabbri, Uros Dojcinovic, Sandro Di Stefano, Sabino De Bari, Rodrigo Nefthalí and Marco Aurelio Alvírez, have dedicated their works.

Eduardo Pascual plays with Manuel CONTRERAS Guitars “25th Anniversary” (1995), Gabriel HERNÁNDEZ Jimenez (Paracho, Mexico), José Antonio LAGUNAR (Madrid, Spain), and Armin HANIKA (Germany), those who have especially dedicated their guitars, and has sponsored by Valenciana Strings, of the Veerkamp House, Mexico DF.
